At least you no longer have that Pesky Drive Shaft to worry about. ;)
And the advantages of 'central mass' to handling, lower polar moment and potentially lower CG ALL work to better handling.
Once fully developed, the new 'Vette architechture will be a force to be reckoned with.
You know, of course, that the ORIGINAL 'Vette, maybe C1 thru C3 or maybe C4, was essentially a parts-bin car. Stock pieces from around the GM / Chevy line wrapped in a neat and squeeky fiberglass body. Front suspension from the '53 BelAir. Rear axle ftom something else....and so on.
Even that original straight six? Right out of the box, except for the intake.
Than it got WEIRD.
