Not exactly an audio topic but will use audio as an example
So I've been headfi'ing off-and-on for some years now, but recently I got back into it after I really started to enjoy IEM's [in ear monitors]. There are TONS of different head gear. So starting out cheap 20-bucks I was like wow this is great, so I stepped up my game to the $100 mark...fantastic!
There were times when I purchased some expensive head gear, $500 mark or so but I really get more fun out of cheap stuff. I can buy 3-4 different IEM's for the price of ONE for $500 and have 5 times the fun. Granted I do have a set of planars for 2.5k but I truly get the most fun out of low priced bargins.
Sometimes going cheep can be good....
