As someone who lived in Manhattan for 40 years, then Jersey City near the Path train for 9 years I haven't owned a car in almost a half century. Just rented whenever I needed a car. Glad I chose this Mazda when we moved to an area where a car was necessary. Its no speedster, but I'm waaay past the age where I give a damn and its got plenty of pep for me. IMO the hatchback is a very nice looking car too, both inside and outside.As for sound, despite it being the audiophile disapproved Bose its pretty decent sound. I don't drive many long distance trips and a car's audio system wass not a major consideration for me. I really have no complaints about the sound - even the bass is pretty well delineated.
