Disregard of the possibility of there being "answers" is as bad as forcing belief in any. We have these capacities for pondering, and have put them to pretty good uses. The fact that ants don't (are we sure?) has no relevance to our use of them.I agree that the last century of sciences has put us into an existential frenzy, which has snowballed into our current distrust of it, but the assureties of Newton and company are long gone. F=ma, with t and g constants, were the good old days. People tied themselves to those rocks to remain stable. The moorings disappeared. I think maybe another century will be needed before humanity can relax in free float mode.
The human psyche was never designed to embrace the "don't worry be happy" mode of living. The Buddha's middle way is more important now than ever.
