Well, I avoid all of them, but some are OK for sure. Like when they stopped having to use sulfa drugs which caused deafness. That would go over real big around here eh ?
Mainly, I am against many of the newer drugs with their side effects. And the fact is many of them are invented because the patent ran out on the old one it supposedly replaces.
Misused drugs has to include anti-depressants. An anti depressant that causes suicidal tendencies ? Gimme a break. Even a smoking cessation aid that causes suicidal tendencies. And they keep on selling it.
One fact, not quite as easy to look up, is that most of these mass shooters were on such drugs. Instead of counseling, which is what these people really needed, the shrink just writes a scrip.
The medical industry is a mess. We got doctors asking my Father and Uncles how long my Grandfather drank. He never drank, their heart medication destroyed his liver. My Grandmother was in a nursing home and they charged $100 to give her an aspirin. They made a mistake on my Father's prescription that tripled the dosage, if he was in a home it would have killed him, but he eventually died in his own house. But he watched what they tried to prescribe and turned down a few things. One was a calcium blocker. He told the doc why and the doc was amazed at how much he knew about it. Others just take whatever the doc says without question. That is not advisable.
