50c = 122f out in Indio and maybe Palm Springs. I suspect Death Valley was Hotter Yet.

My house? I'm near the ocean, so 80f is getting on while we DO have a week or so every year where it clips mid-90s. This is usually due to a reversal of wind patterns called the Santa Ana's. At that time I run my AC full-time since it won't cool enough at night for me to open windows.

Coastal SoCal weather can't be beat.
