You reminded me: I need to go to the plumbing supply store (not HD or L) and get a flow restrictor for our shower head. The water just blows straight through the 5/8" (?) pipe and out the head. WAY more water than I need.
On the other hand, I take out the flow restrictor from my yard/foundation soaker hose. I mean, really, I should be able to soak the house foundation in a reasonable amount of time, instead of having to think about it and checking it all f-ing day or night.
With regard to low-flow faucets... don't even get me started. Example: For the AES convention in L.A. in 2014, I stayed at the "downtown" Sheraton (now part of Starwood). First, the hotel was something like $200 per night (advance purchase). Then, they charged $40 a night to park my car in their garage. Course, the valet also wanted a tip. Plus, the taxes that the City, County and State wanted - to get "their share". So, with that as a setting, I was in my Sheraton hotel room trying to get some warm water. Seriously, and I'm not kidding, it took damn near two minutes to fill a plastic cup with warm water!! Why? Because they had a flow restrictor on the faucet! I will NOT stay there EVER again.
