With the current distracted driver situation, it's a suicide run.

Here in SoCal? Probably even worse, since very little you can do behind the wheel is actually Illegal, any more. No License? No Problemo. No Insurance? Who Cares? Bald Tires? We're broke.
Leaving an oil-smoke cloud? That's a problem for the Smog Guys. But to be honest, I see very, very little of that one.

Nope. Too many Machos, Hormone Cases and Territorial Idiots for safe motorcycling.

Many years ago, a buddy of mine, driving a Yamaha Touring bike (not a crotch rocket style) was INTENTIONALLY rear-ended and left for dead while on the FreeWay. Witnesses stopped and while my buddy was 10 days in the hospital, and had a substantially ruined bike, they DID catch the Vermin with problems.
