The car I drove through high school (dads work car/second family car) was a 56, 150 with the famous 235. You could whined it out tight in 1st, slam it into 2nd, pop the clutch & get a little peep.
I had a friend with a 64 Impala with a 235 that I raced at the "local" 1/4 mile, if you now what I mean. I think it was a tie.
That 235 probably saved my life, I could have fun, but only so much fun.
