I can excuse a few roaches and other critters in a cheap apartment or motel but not in the high-end resort I was forced to stay at last year. But I guess since the resort is in Florida you just have to live with it. Creepy critters are everywhere in FL! ;-)We're headed there again this year for a team meeting, not by my choosing. Our sales manager likes the resort in Ponte Vedra Beach FL (he lives in nearby Jacksonville) so I have to go there and live with the roaches in my hoity-toity room and sweat like a pig in the summer humidity. Coming from very dry Colorado at altitude I hate humidity!
When I checked into my room, I had a belly-up dead roach in the bathtub and a couple laying dead in the closet.
Just before shutting out the lights to go to sleep in my bed I saw one run up the wall to the right of my bed. I jumped out of bed and went and got a towel from the bathroom to see if could smack that thumb sized turd off the wall but I missed and it ran under the bed. I'm sure there were many of them under my bed as I shut out the light to go to sleep.
I complained the next morning and they fumigated the room. Great, the aroma of bug spray in my high-end room with a view.
Oh well, first world problem for sure. And I'll face them again this August. At least the food was good. :-)
