For most sites, if you have not updated your Flash player FF will say "This plugin is out of date and should be upgraded". You canclick in the video box to activate, OR NOT MWAHAHAHA. However this does not work on all sites. What's more so many people have auto updating turned on when their PC stops working because of a crashed update you have to go through all this rigamaroll to get the damage undone.
Screw updates, it works now, don't fix it. I have seen driver updates not work. People tried everything, I went in and "Roll back driver" and it worked again. One time I got saved from a virus for not having the updated Java. Oh the poor baby virus could not run on that Java. I know because it used to nag me at bootup but then all the sudden nagged me literally constantly. Did a virus scan and sure as shit there it was.
There might still be a setting in FF that allows you to turn off plugins. Mine has it but it is an older version so don't count on having it. I can make it prompt "The plugin required to view this file has been disabled, would you like to enable it ?". And if it has an option like "Just this once" take that one.
Lots of sites nag me to update my browser but I refuse and shall refuse until nothing works. What version of FF are they on noiw, about 1500 ?
