Back in the day, Gate City Chrysler Plymouth here in Greensboro was ground zero for the Pettys. Several times a year on a Friday half a dozen car carriers would roll to their yard and unload stripped down Fury I. On Saturday morning a team of guys, including my dad, would fire them up and ferry them 17 miles south down Highway 220 to Level Cross. Great times
If NASCAR/France grandchildren hope to keep stock car racing relevant, they should ditch the Car of the Future and let teams build ground up chassis, motors and bodies. Cheating is what made racing great. NASCAR and Rasslin go hand in hand.
