Insights On Marijuana

I'm not sure if the following ideas have been proposed by the scientific community or not. If not, here's another first from my wonderful and creative intellect.

Cannabis intoxication isn't monotonic. Unlike say, barbiturates, it doesn't consist of a single effect on the brain, or a single related group of effects, but instead it's dualistic.

Cannabinoid intoxication consists of:

[a] a hallucinogen
[b] a hypnotic/sedative

The hallucinogen component is the problem. There are many people who suffer negative effects from cannabis. Most often, those people feel severely unsure of themselves when under the influence. Some people - either immediately or over time with repeated use - may experience dissociative, psychotic outcomes. For those people, cannabis use is not recommended.

Personally, I hate cannabis. You couldn't pay me to try it.
