More sweat than ingenuity

At 16:55, I worked for a short time in a PPG windshield plant very much just like that one. I even recognize a couple of the jobs that I did on the assembly line. That factory was torn down after problems with the union, but in other factories most of the labor has been replaced by robotics. And good riddance. What a dark, sad place that was, filled with some of the sorriest, most miserable sons-of-bitches I've ever had the displeasure of knowing.

Like Elon Musk said recently about his mammoth battery factory being built near Reno, the factory producing the product is far more complex than the product itself.
