I "resisted" getting a PS until October of '09 (aught 9). Got a Canon A1100IS. Pretty nice little camera, although I wish it had a hot shoe.
This facilitated being able to shoot all kinds of fun, interesting and useless stuff, and delete or keep them at my pleasure.
I continued shooting "serious" stuff on film until summer of '16 (aught 16), when we were taking a major vacation and I didn't want to shoot 10 rolls of film and the associated hassles of getting it processed and transferred to CD. So, I got a Canon DS1 and a 32 GB card. Shot 650 pics on vacation.
Regarding Leica PS lens, yeah, that's pretty much a marketing tool. Might even be made under license from Leica.
