They told me I would be tired, but I wasn't prepared for how tired.As I understand it radiation for cancer e.g. beam radiation, has a few down-sides, including being tired.
Permanent seed Brachytherapy just has tiredness and frequent visits to the 'loo.
You are tired because you get up several times a night and interrupted sleep makes you tired. But then there's the impact of the radiation itself, which the Radiation Oncologist tells me is the main cause.
Had a telephone consultation with him Tuesday last, after seeing my GP who sent my current measurements to him.
While this is only a subjective comparison, I am more tired than I ever was in the field as a platoon sergeant. CSMs get more sleep than platoon sergeants, ;-)!
I keep telling myself how lucky I really am and that it will end, sometime!
