RE: Does mom have something going on besides "approaching 70"? I hear tell there are quite a few

When my mother was in her mid-70's I made it point to ride with her regularly just to keep track of her skills. When they got to the point you describe we took her keys and sold the car. We didn't want her to be the cause of someone's injuries or death.

Yes, it was difficult for all concerned. But necessary.
