Yes, seriously. But don't misunderstand - I'm not advocating for dirtier air. I'm advocating for eliminating many of the thousands of regulations which rule over the design of virtually every part of a vehicle, AND, requires vehicle manufacturers to meet certain and arbitrary fleet emissions, mileage, safety standards, and weight requirements. Have you ever looked at all the REQUIRED notices on your car's sun visor?
Heck, you'd think that the government actually has employees who could design a car - but they don't. Name ten - just ten - top EPA automotive industry regulators who have Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and I'll shut up (maybe). To my knowledge, the last time a government designed a car, they gave us the Volkswagen bug. Lovely.
Have you ever wondered why most cars look like crap, instead of beautiful works of art and engineering? Thank the EPA.
:)
