I heard this morning that they couldn't work out a trade, soHolmgrenSnider got pissed and used the "poison pill" strategy. As a restricted free agent, make an offer so high Nashville couldn't match. Given the whole Predators franchise is worth something like 150-160 million, paying one player about 70% of the value of the franchise would be (L)insane.
Of course, this is why Flyers tickets are priced out of reach of the average person. And, if you do stay home to watch, you can usually only see them on the Comcast Network so they get your money that way too.
