A Grand Finale

A wonderful weekend at A Taste Of China (ATOC). My only regret is that it was my first, and will be my last. The breadth and depth of knowledge of taijiquan and other martial arts gathered in one location was astounding. And every one of the "Masters" are truly deserving of the title. Quality human beings, all of them. In fact the same could be said of all of the attendees. Very bittersweet because of it being the last one after 30 years. Many of the masters recalled previous events with great fondness and told of the lifelong friendships made, the exchange of ideas they partook in and effect ATOC had on their lives. The list of past presenters at ATOC is like a Who's Who in the world of Taijiquan. Sadly many are gone now. To be able to learn first hand from those who were there this year and interact to with them was indeed an honor and a pleasure. It was also great to meet my extended "taiji family" (Other students of my teacher and my teacher's teacher, and their teacher, and so on.) Lots of stories and memories in the hotel room as well.

Thank you Pat
