But there were too many flaws in the design as a result of penny-pinching. A $10 camber compensator would have cured the jacking effect from the swing axles. The pushrod tube seals must have been made from graham cracker crumbs considering how long they lasted.
Of course, most cars from that era were junk. That's why we traded them in after two years. Every time I hear someone say "They don't make 'em like they used to," I think "and thank goodness for that!"
