However vile.
It shows people for what they are.
I wish people in "real life" would telegraph their vileness as clearly as they do here.

It'd make business much simpler.

The entire idea of communication, whether it be through music, architecture, or through bits on the net is to extend a bit of one's consciousness for others to sample and to sample other's consciousness.

We can never know someone else's consciousness, only our own. But those brief glimpses we get through communication reminds us that there are many universes out there. I feel, from a very human perspective, that the universe exists only between your own ears.

I find the most vicious and vile posts very entertaining. It's amazing how anonymity gives the cowards heart.

I remember, a few months back, when my wife and I were in a bookstore.
She was looking at some books, when the shelf collapse causing her to scream.
Well, some bozo for the "I'm to cheap to buy a magazines, so I sit here and pretend I own the place" hushed her. Don't we see plenty of that behavior here?
The self-appointed keepers of order.

Man, that got the hairs on the back of neck up. I stepped around the isles, and asked "EXCUSE ME!" There was only one "gentleman" there. He kept his nose in the magazine. Again, now looking at him: "Excuse me?" The only response was a lame "huh... what?"

I wonder how many of the vile minded here act as putridly in real life as they do here.

I've said this before. My posting policy at AA is simple: never say anything here I could not say face to face to another person.

What people fail to realize is that it's OK to disagree with someone, and it's certainly OK if they disagree with you. The question is simply one of communicating in a gentlemanly (or lady-like) manner or behaving like an insecure teenage orangutan.

The simplistic view of a black and white or right or worn or absolutes truths or standards or tastes demonstrated by many merely gives us a glimpse of their limited intellect.
Funny, how these "absolutes" match their own believes. What are the odds, to have stumbled upon such great wisdom.

Seeing these behaviors, it amazes us realize how special other people are who rise above it.
The luck of the draw in genetics. Ultimately.
There, but for the grace of evolution, go I.

I find that, in life as whole, people of certain caliber will seek each other out and draw common strength. That's how civilizations are built.

Now, about this "baring ourselves" bit, I think I will go scrub my eyes now.
