Not to inspire envy but there are new problems here

We now have major flooding problems out here. Salina, home to Acoustic Sounds and Blue Heaven Studios, got 6" of rain yesterday. Around the KC area, just about every town has started gathering sandbags to build dikes. I-29 at the Missouri-Iowa border was closed due to flood waters over the highway. The weather system that brought the tornado to Greensburg has been very slow in its movement.
My little paid-for patch of real estate has seen about eight inches of rain in the last four days. The sump pump runs about every four minutes and the yard is soaked through like a sponge.
The floods of 1993 passed through a large portion of the Midwest but this flooding is concentrated in comparison. Most rivers and streams here in the greater KC area won't hit peak flow stages for another day or so. Flooding is expected through Friday.
