In fact in the year I've been using it I must say it's been remarkably spam free even though I use it for signing up for all sorts of different things. It's also still quite fast, so I have no complaints about that.
I do like it's clean and relatively unambitious design, unlike Yahoo in which they've tried way to hard to make it look and act like an email program like Outlook Express. Now *that's* glacial.
