93k is low mileage for a '96 and $700 to have a vehicle "up & running" is not that bad a price.I used to pay that much for 2 front tires on my truck. Paying for auto repair is a bargain (in my eyes). Looking at it another way-$700 today would fill up my fuel tanks & I have to fill up again in about 1500-1700 miles
