People from where the art of beer making was never forgotten

need to remember that, although it took until the late 70's or early 80's, U.S. citizens who had not had their minds and taste buds dulled, began brewing and drinking great "domestic" beer".

Prohibition severely damaged the beer industry in the U.S., Anhauser-Busch tried their best to completely destroy it, but some hearty sould have fought back. There are, in literally every region of the U.S., some superb micro-breweries. Since the largest part of the population of the U.S. has no brains and accept the drivel that they are fed both mentally and within the ideas and tastes of their comestibles, Budweiser has become the ideal. Coors did the best job of selling tasteless brew, but the original idea of tastelessness came from the likes of Miller and Budweiser.

Thankfully, there are breweries that are making wonderful stouts and ales. Just like breweries in the U.K., many are found at only the place where they are made; great food and great beer. Those "brew-pubs" are worth seeking out for anyone that considers beer more than a mouthful of spit and rinse.
