Negative. I am able to be online this morning simply due to the presence of Gayle's laptop which she brought home from work. It's a tiny little thing (I now know where the name "Compaq" originated), and I have learned this morning that I have much bigger fingers than I have ever previously noticed.Sadly the desktop PC is still visiting the PC Clinic, and I have my fingers crossed that the new motherboard (when it arrives) will cure it of it's ills.
And speaking of that: Stand-by later this week for (yet another) anti-technology rant that has been brewing in my brain the last few days. A quick sample: Why can "they" build cars with 10 year warranties, cars which have several computers in them, but yet the PC manufactureres cannot build a product which can last for a measly 5 years? Would Ford, Honda, General Motors, and Toyota accept printed circuit boards that do not last?
