we wuz VERY cut up when George's sister Minnie was killed in the road, she was a slinky and NOISILY happy, shiny-black slim and curvey long-tailed CHARACTER, the real instigator of the pair. She was the boss kitten and G the runt of the litter although ev'y the biggest, yet M buddied up with G! So they were a pair already before we got to choose. ;-)!Minnie was also THE most efficient ambusher (IN or OUT) of us or George, of all the cats I can remember. Ever heard of the myhtical 'Aussie drop-bear', Bill? Well, Minnie was drop-cat/dash-cat/ leap-cat, with enough energy to run a a valve amp.
While G would come for a walk around our cul-de-sac road (they do still), Minnie would join-in but on one's shoulders, giving one a vibrator massage the while! Plus a few gentle treadings wiv the claws!
And, she preferred Haydn, for lap sittings!
Miss her? >6 yrs later? Still? yep! esp Tisha - she WAS her cat really. I think they communicated in a special dimension!
GGGIII too was very subdued - for weeks after. I let him see her mangled body after I brought her home, and he just sat by her body all that arvo, until Tish & the boys came home, and we could all bury her! G helped us by scratching the leaf litter over her!
