as I would certainly not consider entering a lifelong relationship with anyone who gave me the personal disrespect of speaking to me in that dismissive and insulting manner... In practice, I would be likely to be gone well within the hour, let alone hang about for long enough to get married!...Would such cultural characteristics (of mutual disrespect?) go some way to explain relatively high divorce rates?...
