So, Band of Brothers is to your liking, huh? No surprise there, really, but you haven't seen the best of it yet. Just you wait.....I watched it on HBO when it first came out and I knew almost immediately that was one set of DVD's I wanted to purchase. I think I've watched the entire series maybe 4 or 5 times, and I learn something different or new each time I watch it. I found it interesting how much I felt that I "knew" these guys after watching it a few times, and seeing their deaths, even though simulated, is still hard. Unfortunately (for me) I loaned the set to my Father so he could watch it while "snow-birding" down in Arizona, and I don't remember which episode shows what, exactly.
Anyway, there are some very "tough" and hard to watch episodes coming-up for you, and w/o giving anything away I will say that the "Why We Fight" episode was the one that touched me the most (and if you are renting the set, don't you dare jump ahead!).
My home computer has taken-ill lately, and thus my sole means of Internet communique are from here at the office. Funny thing (and sadly ironic)- I downloaded the latest "upgrades" (yeah, right!) and definitions for my anti-virus software, and now whenever it starts it instantly shuts-down my computer! IOW, my anti-virus is my virus! If I can catch the software before it starts my computer runs fine, but I don't dare turn on my router or modem w/o e-protection.
Enjoy the upcoming episodes. There are some great ones yet to be seen. I'll be in Kansas City for the next few days so you're on your own!
