I have seen similar expressions in the eyes of feral cats who seem to very successfully prey on slower rabbits and the brown rats that always seem to try to infest a barn, when visiting my brother-in-law's farm...

Thanks to both the feral cats and week-end visits by a particularly motivated Yorkshire Terrier (who may be rather smaller than a lot of the rats he kills!), the barns are largely rat-free for most of the year, only seeming to be occasionally noticed around harvest-time...

You've evidently got a cat of "character" there...
