This is one of my newer peeves. Prior to moving to Palmdale, I had never seen people trot their shopping carts all the way home before. Then they plop them in the middle of the street or in someone else's yard. It doesn't happen that often in my own neighborhood, but when I travel elsewhere or visit some locations, I really have to keep an eye out. Especially at night.Amazingly enough, Walgreens' carts have wheels that automatically lock if they are taken to far away from the store. I can't figure out why more stores don't do that. It has to be less expensive than replacing carts or paying someone to go hunt them down.
