Last summer, I found a kitten inside the engine compartment of my pick-up, after my dog alerted me by acting excitable, sniffing all around the front of the truck. She's been doing the same thing for the past few days, so thought another one was in there. Yesterday I pop the hood to have a look and even look under the truck. Well, maybe one was in there before but it left, so I thought.Today, she's acting even more animated, so I check out under the hood again. Still nothing. The dog is still acting crazy, so I take a look inside. I can't see under the seat, so go get a flashlight. Low & behold, there's a cat sitting there. WTF? How did it get in there & how did I miss it for 2 days? I put the dog in the house & get the cat out. I think it might even be the kitten from last summer.
The neighbor has a bunch of strays living around his property, especially in his boat. He hasn't taken it out in a few years, so the strays have converted it into their cathouse.
