This has nothing to do with nothing.....

But when I was in high school in Idaho one night a friend and I were driving around smoking some wacky tobaccy, and he got this bright idea that we should drive up to one of the local ski places and rent a couple of those little "Stingray" bikes that have skis instead of wheels.

I could ski, so I was game. What harm could there be in riding a little bike on skis? So off we go.....in our street clothes and winter coats.....at night when it is snowing pretty hard. We got our little gizmos and jumped on the lift to the top of the mountain.

Well, the snow and the big night lights weren't blending very well, because you couldn't see squat. I figured that was just the funny cigarettes, so I jump on the little bike and take off.

Let me tell you, I was not prepared for the speed of those little suckers, nor was I prepared for my absolute inability to control the little thing. With tears streaming from my eyes, I hauled ass down that mountain, just barely missing big trees and completely unaware of anything or anyone around me. Then I noticed this big ski lodge coming up at about Mach 2, and realized I had to do something to stop.

I decided the only way to stop was to lay the bike down. That helped me a little, bit didn't do much for the bike. As I flipped end over end I say the little bike hit a big drift and shoot into the air, looking like it was going to go right through the lodge windows (where people were inside eating and being rational and stuff). The next thing I know I was inserted deep inside a 10' snow drift. So I dig myself out, and there is my friend saying "What the f~ were you going so fast for?". "You coulda killed yourself!" I looked around and saw the lodge windows were intact, but the little bike looked like it had been hit by a big rig.

So we ran away. The end.
