As always...

there must be lots of situations that really would deserve reporting, but perhaps rather less that the media will have felt motivated to present to the public... The result appears to be that the media parades an endless succession of inadequate people involved in profoundly irrelevant activities and issues, whilst no doubt still optimistically claiming that it is performing it's function of "informing the public"...

Evidently the implacable "dumbing down" of the populace via poor education for the young and the steady "drip, drip" process of sapping individual questioning of actions and values by the day-to-day diet of the attitudes presented on film and TV continues it's steady progress... The depressing reality is that there appears to be a meek and compliant reaction by the general public to what is effectively a continuing daily gross insult to their individual and collective intelligence, rather than the entirely justified wild outrage at such an arrogant lack of respect... Surely you folk cannot REALLY be so mentally catatonic that the only elements in your lives and societies that you view as worthy of discussion and information are items such as whether some talentless oik has cut her hair off?!?...

For heaven's sake!!!...
