Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Well almost,...

128.231.88.6

as in not really close. First, the EA-1 is a single ended amplifer, and the EA-2 and EA-3 are push-pull amplifiers, totaly different circuits and sound. Though they all use EL84 output tubes, they use different drivers. Second, the Eico ST-40 does use 7591's and is also an itegrated amp like the Heathkits mentioned. The Dynaco ST-70 is a power amplifer and uses EL34 output tubes.

Take care,

Rodney
