what you fellas are seeing there is most likely an attempt to run up the ebay value on that piece of equipment. I've seen it with rare musclecar parts too, private auctions that go to $8K, then the item relisted at the high bid price as open bid, and no longer a private auction...
an attempt to bang up the market with meth before actually selling...
OR
the slight, tiny chance it's actually for real- Pioneer SX1980's to up around that price too...
