I wanted to reduce a bit (higher negative voltage) the bias in my Sherwood S-5000 (7189/6BQ5 integrated amp) so that the output tubes and transformers could run cooler but without affecting the quality of sound and the performance.
I did this in my Fisher 400 with a FisherDoc Resto-Pack (it was done by removing the bias supply shunting resistor), but as I'm a newbie, I don't know if (and how) it can be done in the Sherwood S-5000.
Anyone did this or has any hint?
Thanks
Raul
