Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

It's the PAS preamp sometimes!

131.64.9.116

I started out with the PAS/ST-70 combo. I replaced the PAS with my McIntosh MX-113(solid state) and everything blossomed out and I realized the harsh midrange glarewas coming out of the PAS preamp.

Don't blame the ST-70, I only sold mine to buy a SET amp and help pay for my McIntosh MC-240 amp to be checked and adjusted by my tech. The MX-110(tubed) can make the ST-70 a little too lush with my speakers though. I am running JBL 2226/Altec 902 on Edgarhorn w/Pi speaker x-over.
