Your right. The ST70/PAS sound good at first but after a while I find them to be hard and gritty sounding. Maybe the're better for speakers that don't have very efficient mids and tweeters? I remember back in the late 60's I thought the pair sounded good with my Bozak 4000's but then again the Bozak tweeters are laid back.
My Stereo 70 will be on E-Bay sooner or later too. I already sold the PAS. Now that the price has gone up so much on the Stereo 70 I find it hard to believe that people still want them. Guess they never heard a properly functioning Fisher 400 or Scott 299C-D?
