Consider that there is another reason for holding on to your Sansui amplifier, it has great style. The director of the movie High Fidelity knwe this when he chose a Sansui AU-7900 as a prop to appear with the leading actor John Cusack for both the opening and closing scenes of the movie. To be fair, a pair of Beyer Dynamic headphones and a Marantz tuner and a McIntosh amplifier also appear, but it is the Sansui amplifier that John Cusack is listening to as the camera rolls.
