Value of 1996 Vandie 3's?

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Moving and down-sizing mandates selling my original 1996 Vandersteen 3 speakers and I haven't a clue what I should ask for them. As far as I can discern with aging ears, they're good audio-wise, and decent physical shape, all black with the massive Vandersteen bases too.

Vandie 3A's, the subsequent "improved" model are $6350/pr, and used for $2300 to $2500 a pair in the past couple years. I now live in small market Central OR, 2hrs from Portland so that's a factor.

Any thoughts?
