About 10 years ago I bought this powered speaker along with the projector and a case full of replacement tubes, lamps belts, etc, at an estate sale for about $10.00 IIRC. The projector is long gone but I kept the case and speaker, I finally got tired of moving it around and decided to get rid of it, so I looked it up to see if it was worth anything. I was surprised to see that it was desirable to convert into a guitar amp, well that was all I needed to hang onto it until I found someone who could do the work for me. I finally found this local guy that had heard of these amp/speakers and was enthusiastic about the project and dug right in. In a few weeks he was finished, and I picked it up last week and man does it sound fantastic! The tech said he rebuilt it similar to a Fender Tweed Deluxe, we both think that the speaker is a re branded Jensen. Now I just have to re-string my G&L and crank it up.
It was rebuilt by Paul, owner of Bywater Music, here in New Orleans.nt
