I have a Emud 713 that I want to restore. The FM section works well as does the AM but I can't get a signal on SW. I remember as a kid listening to SW on this radio without an external antenna.
The phono preamp uses 1/2 of a 12AX7 which lights up but I suppose I should try another tube, not having a tester available.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Also since this receiver is 66 years old, it would seem that recapping would be in order but OTOH the PS is good. Should I leave well enough alone?
