Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

No change

So except for having tubes in it, I choose not to do anything currently to the appearance of the unit - so still butt ugly. Attached though is an image I have, which I think is one repainted by Mike Samara. Now the McIntosh 240's with the chrome chassis and black paint always looked great to me (didn't sound as good to me, so I sold both of the one I had). Some day I might try to do something that can easily be removed to make the Cit-II look more attractive. But when I run it I do like having a fan blow across it to dissipates the heat it develops down, so anything I do has to take into account heat that is being generated.
