RE: Question for fenderlover regarding a Fender Super Six

Yes, the screen is OEM. Check for any fraying of the screen touching any hot portion of the chassis.

Pull all the mounting bolts and let the chassis drop down to the wooden stops on the cab. You can get a light in there, to look for shorts. If no visual touching points... try the amp. If it still hums, you may have other issues. If it stops, the problem is the screen.

The only touching points between this screen on the cab and the amp, is the chassis frame, once the amp is bolted down. I have redone quite a few amps with damaged screen. Regular metal door screening material works fine.
