I have NS-5s bought for 15.00 at the yard sales. At first listen they're easy to ignore but after a few hours I realized they have a nice smooth even tone that's easy to enjoy. Good vocal presentation for a 10" two way. No need to mod,, and would be afraid to ruin the seal. They are true acoustic suspension.
A sleeper worth getting if stumbled upon.
