although the cheap Teledyne-era AR speakers of the same era (to wit, the AR-18 and AR-17) were fine sounding, unprepossessing cheap two-way sealed box speakers, too.
My opinion in those days (and still today) is that dollar for dollar the AR-18 was the best thing going. They were $65 a pop at that point (ca. 1977).
