Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

It arrived intact!

The seller (muffinhead) did a great job packing the receiver and it arrived intact and working just as he said. I'll post a picture in a few. I excitedly hooked up my two turntables to it as soon as it arried and it sounds fantastic.

Compared to the phono section of the Onkyo A/V receiver that was there before there in NO contest, and this is without any restoration yet! I can only imagine that once it's all re-capped and whatever out of spec components are replaced it can only get better.

Granted, the Onkyo in question was essentially a BOTL placeholder I usually use to power the outdoor speakers, but still, why put such crappy phono sections in these things? I can see the vinyl resurgence coming to a screeching halt with all these garbage phono sections.
