I remember a conversation about 35 years ago with amp designer John Curl saying something like "op-amps suck". John rarely says what he really thinks. lol
Your decision to go with a separate preamp is a good one. It gives you the flexibility to get all the features you want, AND change power amps whenever you want, including decisions about bi-or-tri-amping down the road.
btw, it's "integrated", not "intregrated". Once is a mistake, twice isn't. :)
